The Bay Area has no shortage of events brimming with quirky charm, but few capture the Bay’s eccentricity quite like the World Dog Surfing Championships, held Saturday at Linda Mar Beach in Pacifica.
Instagram reels branded the championships — just 30 minutes outside of San Francisco — a “must-see,” and several thousand Bay Area residents seemed to heed the call. Traffic into Pacifica stretched bumper to bumper, with furry heads poking out of countless back windows.
