A Lincoln program helping people with Parkinson’s disease stay active and improve quality of life is expanding thanks to a new grant. The Parkinson’s Foundation has awarded Bryan Health an $8,000 grant to grow its Rock Steady Boxing program at Bryan LifePointe.
Rock Steady Boxing is a no-contact fitness program designed specifically for people with Parkinson’s disease. The program uses boxing movements, strength training, balance exercises, and cognitive activities to help participants maintain physical abilities and independence.
Starting August 31st, Bryan will add an evening class three days a week. Financial and travel assistance may also be available for qualifying participants.
