SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) — The Shreveport Police Department arrested 19 individuals for driving while intoxicated during a recent enforcement push aimed at reducing fatal crashes and making roadways safer.
The arrests were made between July 30 and August 3 and were part of the department’s ongoing effort to identify impaired drivers and hold them accountable before their decisions result in serious injury or death, police said.
Those arrested include:
- Master Loveless, arrested on a DWI second offense, operating a vehicle with a suspended license, and threatening a public official.
- Timothy Lee, arrested on a first-offense DWI.
- Cedric Sim, arrested on a first-offense DWI.
- Frank Allums, arrested on a DWI first offense and two counts of possession of narcotics.
- Brandon Little, arrested on a DWI third offense.
- Joshua Broadway, arrested on a DWI first offense and operating a vehicle with a suspended license.
- Christopher Simpson, arrested on a DWI first offense.
- Jackie Spann, arrested on a DWI first offense and reckless operation of a motor vehicle.
- Charles Dotson, arrested on a DWI first offense and improper lane usage.
- Stephen Flakes, arrested on a DWI second offense, operating a vehicle with a suspended license, speeding, and careless operation.
- Lloydresia Jones, arrested on a DWI first offense.
- Ramirez Favela, arrested on a DWI first offense.
- Carlos Love, arrested on a DWI second offense and failure to yield.
- Traveon Adams, arrested on a DWI first offense, careless operation, and improper display of a license plate.
- Whitney Gipson, arrested on a DWI second offense.
- Logan Cain, arrested on a first-offense DWI.
- Tyra Bates, arrested on a DWI first offense, careless operation, no driver’s license, and open container.
- Daniel Thomason, arrested on a first-offense DWI.
- Marvin Smith, arrested on a DWI first offense, no seat belt, and careless operation of a motor vehicle.
The Shreveport Police Department stated it will continue to aggressively enforce impaired-driving laws and urged the public to plan ahead, use a designated driver, call for a ride, or stay where they are rather than driving impaired…
