Brookdale Richland, an assisted living and memory care residence, saw an outpouring of support as it welcomed 50 temporary residents after a sister facility in Spokane had to be evacuated because of wildfires.
Local residents flooded the Richland facility with donations of clothing and toiletries. Richland police and firefighters checked in on the new residents to welcome them to the community and offer comfort during the crisis.
