JONESBORO, Ark. (KAIT) – A Memphis man was sentenced to 19 years in federal prison following a three-day trial on a felon in possession of a firearm charge.
Chief United States District Judge Kristine G. Baker sentenced Percy Jackson, of Memphis, to 235 months on count one, felon in possession of a firearm. In addition to the prison term, Baker sentenced Jackson to three years of supervised release.
A federal grand jury indicted Jackson on June 6, 2024, on three counts: being a felon in possession of a firearm, possession of fentanyl with intent to distribute, and possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug-trafficking crime. The federal jury returned a guilty verdict on the count of felon in possession of a firearm.
