Franklin County’s David Culver earned Arkansas 4-H’s highest scholarship this year, leading a group of area members who received college scholarships and national recognition through the youth organization’s annual awards.
Culver received the $8,000 Sue Marshall Scholarship, while four other students from Franklin, Logan and Sebastian counties earned scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $2,000. Five additional area members qualified for National 4-H Congress by winning advanced record book honors.
The Arkansas 4-H Foundation awarded $91,500 in scholarships to 41 members across the state. Individual awards ranged from $1,000 to $8,000 and were announced July 22 during Arkansas 4-H State O-Rama on the University of Arkansas campus in Fayetteville…
