NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Horror fans looking for a different kind of movie night can head to Birdie’s Cabaret Theater & Lounge in North Little Rock on Friday for a screening of the cult classic Re-Animator as part of the venue’s “Midnight Mass” series.
The event begins at 10:30 p.m. and combines a movie screening with live comedy performances from characters Reverend Rott and Brother Herman Ennurdz. Organizers describe the show as part comedy performance, part movie night and part celebration of cult horror films.
“Midnight Mass is our love letter to horror movies and the people who adore them,” said Rob Washburn, one of the creators of the event. “We kick things off with an in-character comedy sermon from Reverend Rott and Brother Herman Innards, then we screen the movie while riffing along with it like you’re watching it with your funniest horror-obsessed friends.”
