PLAIN DEALING, La. — Nearly one year after Cable Tallant, 32, disappeared in Bossier Parish, investigators say they have not given up hope of finding answers and are asking the public to come forward with any new information.
Tallant vanished in August 2025 after he was last seen at a gathering in the area. His truck was later found abandoned on Old Plain Dealing Road near Plain Dealing, prompting an extensive search involving local, state and volunteer agencies.
For three days, dozens of first responders searched difficult terrain using K-9 teams, drones, and a helicopter, but found no trace of Tallant. The Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office eventually suspended the ground search, saying every available lead had been exhausted.
Even so, the investigation has never been closed…
