AKRON, Ohio — People seeking help restoring their driver license or clearing their criminal records can receive free legal assistance Saturday during a University of Akron School of Law reentry clinic on Akron’s west side.
The clinic is scheduled from 9 a.m. to noon at the House of the Lord, 1650 Diagonal Road. Organizers said the event may end before noon if it reaches capacity.
Volunteer law students, supervised by attorneys, will help eligible participants with driver’s license restoration, filing clemency, criminal record sealing and expungement, and applications for Certificates of Qualification for Employment, known as CQEs.
