Saline Area Schools families will see one set of attendance rules across the district this fall, replacing building-by-building practices with common definitions, reporting procedures and steps for supporting students whose absences begin to add up.
Woodland Meadows Principal Laura Washington told the Board of Education Aug. 4 that attendance “isn’t optional,” noting Michigan law requires students ages 6 to 18 to attend school.
