MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A former Memphis police officer was booked in the Shelby County Jail this week after being indicted by a grand jury last month on two counts of reckless endangerment with a deadly weapon and official misconduct.
The alleged incidents involving Jose Flores, 43, happened between October of 2022 and July of 2026.
MPD has not commented on the charges but confirmed that Flores is no longer with the department, having resigned in March of this year.
The indictment states that on June 7, 2024, Flores unlawfully engaged in conduct using a deadly weapon, which placed a victim in imminent danger of death or bodily injury. The victim’s name was redacted throughout the document…
