SAN JOSE, CALIFORNIA — San Jose, California, Longview, Washington and Winslow, Arizona are being highlighted as the three spots with the nicest weather in the country today, according to a Nice Weather Outlook valid Friday, August 7 and updated at 6:32 AM ET. All three locations fall within the “Beautiful” category on the outlook’s five-tier ranking scale, the second-highest tier behind “Perfect.”
Beautiful Conditions Concentrated Along the Pacific Northwest Coast
The outlook ranks weather conditions across the country using a five-tier scale: Perfect, Beautiful, Nice, Fair and Decent. No locations in the country reached the top Perfect tier today, making San Jose, Longview and Winslow the standout spots on the map.
Longview’s Beautiful conditions extend along a narrow stretch of the Pacific Northwest coastline in western Washington, marked in dark green on the map, while San Jose anchors a small pocket of Beautiful weather along the central California coast.
Nice Conditions Form a Pocket Across Central Arizona
Winslow sits within a distinct “Nice” category pocket, shown in light green, stretching across central Arizona. This zone stands out from the surrounding Fair and Decent conditions covering much of the broader Southwest, making Winslow and its surrounding area a relative bright spot for pleasant weather in an otherwise less favorable regional pattern.
A separate small Nice pocket also appears along coastal Southern California, near the coastline south of San Jose, though Winslow’s central Arizona zone represents the largest contiguous Nice category area on today’s map.
Fair and Decent Conditions Dominate Much of the Country
A broad swath of Fair conditions, shown in light blue, stretches across much of the Midwest, Great Lakes, Northeast and portions of the Mountain West, while Decent conditions, the lowest tier on the map, cover large stretches of the Plains, South and Southeast, including much of Texas, the Deep South and interior sections of the Southwest…
