AUSTIN (KXAN) — After former Round Rock ISD Police Chief Ryan Urrutia left the district earlier this year, the school district’s police department has now lost its interim police chief as well, KXAN confirmed.
Round Rock ISD PD’s ‘meet our team’ page still lists Latriesha Grandy as the interim chief of police but the department’s ‘office of the chief’ page is not currently active. KXAN has been looking through TCOLE license data to track retention at ISD police departments, during that process, we noticed records show Grandy left the department last week.
Round Rock ISD confirmed the departure in a statement.

“The chief of police position is posted, and administration is in the process of hiring a new leader for the department. Sgt. Lisa Cleere is the interim chief while that process continues. Our sergeants and officers throughout the district continue to maintain the safety of our campuses, facilities and staff,” the district said in a statement…
