Weekend events bring road closures, traffic impacts across Omaha metro

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – Several major events this weekend will create road closures, lane restrictions and heavy traffic across the metro area, including the Offutt Air Show, Maha Festival, a cycling event, and the Pinnacle Bank Championship golf tournament.

Offutt Air Show

Road closures will be in place Saturday and Sunday on Fort Crook Road between Harlan and Capehart, as well as just south of Capehart heading southbound on Fort Crook.

Those closures are in addition to existing lane restrictions on southbound JFK near Capehart and a ramp closure from Capehart to southbound JFK — part of a long-term construction project already underway in the area.

Drivers heading to the air show should expect to use northbound JFK for entering and exiting the event. Road options in the area are limited, and backups are expected. Allow extra travel time.

Maha Festival
