ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) – Two teenagers are accused of shooting at St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department officers and ATF agents during a traffic stop in late July.
Justin R. Price, 19, and Alexavier Bishop, 19, are charged in the U.S. District Court in St. Louis with aiding and abetting the assault of federal agents and aiding and abetting the discharge of a firearm in furtherance of a crime of violence.
According to police, officers and agents were conducting a traffic stop at Oriole and Thekla Avenues on July 28, just after 9 p.m., when a Ford Fusion stopped about a block away, and someone fired 12 shots with an automatic weapon.
Police chased after the Fusion, which was abandoned in the 1500 block of Sells Avenue. Court documents state Price, Bishop and another person then ran off.
About 90 minutes before the shooting, authorities said Price and Bishop, who appeared to have guns, were seen pulling on door handles of cars parked in the 1700 block of McLaran Avenue…
