ST. CLOUD, Fla. — The City Council unanimously approved the construction of a new apartment complex and parking garage in the heart of downtown St. Cloud during Thursday’s special council meeting.
The $6.7 million project is being funded largely by the city’s redevelopment agency. The CRA is contributing $6.25 million to the project, and the city is contributing $460,000. Atlantic Housing Partners will develop the site.
“When they redid the streets here with the bricks, that really took away a lot of the parking spaces,” St. Cloud Mayor Chris Robertson said. “So, this is going to quadruple the amount of spaces in our downtown.”…
