PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WPRI) — Cape Verde went on a historic run at the World Cup this summer, and now a piece of that history will be on display in Pawtucket.
The crew at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami sent the Cape Verdean Museum the exact spot on the pitch where Sidny Lopes Cabral scored a dramatic 103rd-minute equalizer against Argentina during their Round of 32 match.
That goal ended up winning the official fan-voted Hyundai Goal of the Tournament.
