EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) – Dozens of local veterans gathered Saturday for interview day with Southern Indiana Honor Flight, a step in the selection process ahead of the organization’s Sept. 26 EVV21 flight to Washington, D.C.
The flight transports more than 80 veterans and their guardians to Washington, D.C. twice a year to honor them for their service.
Organizers said they are taking the eldest veterans first. More than 1,200 veterans are currently on the waiting list…
