WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — Heavy downpours triggered life-threatening flash floods in Franklin on Saturday night, sparking a multi-agency evacuation effort.
According to the Williamson County Emergency Management Agency, the evacuations took place in the Warrior Drive area and along Five-Mile Creek. At least one home appeared to be partially submerged in the floodwater.

“If you live in the area, stay home if you can,” WCEMA said. “Flooding can be especially difficult to see at night, making flooded roads even more dangerous. If you must travel, use extreme caution and never drive through floodwaters.
The National Weather Service placed Williamson County under a Severe Flash Flood Warning at about 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, warning of dangerous weather.
About 20 minutes later, NWS Nashville posted on social media asking Williamson County residents to move to higher ground and avoid walking or driving through floodwaters, especially near the I-840 and I-65 interchange.
