A defiant couple in The Villages has racked up $52,394 in deed compliance fines, and the number continues to climb.
Michael and Mary Lou Mastin, of 3357 Fountainhead Ave. in the Village of Collier, own a home that has landscaping that was put in without the approval of the Architectural Review Committee. The couple contends the landscaping was already in place when they bought the home in 2017 for $320,000.
