Benson Boone’s Northern California concerts were disrupted by vocal problems this weekend, with the singer cutting short his San Jose performance and postponing his Sacramento concert the following night.
Boone told fans outside San Jose’s SAP Center on Friday, Aug. 7, that his voice began failing about halfway through the show. Speaking through a megaphone, he said he had been instructed not to talk and was trying to preserve his voice for the next performance.
“I’m not supposed to be talking,” he announced. “About halfway through the show, my voice started to go out. I’m going to try to save it for tomorrow… genuinely, I need to go to bed. My voice is so cooked. I don’t know how it’s going to be tomorrow.”…
