Alleged victims of a Chicago-area travel agent accuse her of changing her name to scam others

COOK COUNTY (WGN) — A Chicago-area travel agent already facing criminal charges for allegedly scamming families out of thousands of dollars is now accused of lying on a court document — this time, in an attempt to legally change her name.

Maysoon Nasir was arrested in 2023 after WGN Investigates exposed her case, with more than 15 families accusing her of selling them luxury vacations that they say turned into nightmares.

Among them was Griselda Granado, who described arriving at her destination only to learn her trip had been slashed from ten days to two.

“I get there and they tell me I only have a two-day reservation,” Granado told WGN Investigates in 2023. “I had booked a ten-day reservation. I had to pay the money out of my own credit card. We were stuck.”…
