Another hot day but rain chances remain on the horizon for New Mexico

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The monsoon/heat high will move from the Four Corners over to north-central New Mexico/south-central Colorado later Monday.

The high has weakened only ever so slightly in the last couple of days and is still pulling in some decent moisture. This will reflect in several spots. We’ll see daytime highs come down by a degree or two and a slight uptick in shower/storm coverage.

Once the sun starts to get above the horizon, we’ll see temperatures quickly warming. Valleys/highlands/low-lying areas will top off in the 90s and low 100s. The Albuquerque metro will see highs ranging from about 98-102 degrees. We will be in jeopardy of challenging record highs in a number of spots again, including the metro…
