Blossvale man arrested in connection to cemetery bronze thefts

After months of investigation following multiple thefts of bronze cemetery plaques and memorial markers from cemeteries throughout Oneida and Madison counties, New York State Police arrested a 40-year-old Blossvale man.

One of the most recent thefts took place in June at the Lenox Rural Cemetery at 7196 Nelson Road in Canastota, which had 10 bronze veteran’s plaques removed from headstones.

New York State Police arrested David Relyea Jr., 40 following an investigation conducted by the New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation at SP Oneida.
