POTTER COUNTY, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — Potter County Fire Department and the Amarillo Fire Department Hazmat team responded to the Clements Unit on Monday after an employee became sick in the mailroom.
According to Amarillo Fire Department officials, the employee was reported to have become sick in the mailroom after opening an envelope that was found to have traces of xylazine. Officials noted the substance was confined to the mailroom and the employee was taken to an area hospital with “minor injuries.”
