EL PASO, Texas (Border Report) — An elderly man was killed in southern Juárez after withdrawing his pension and life savings, and authorities are investigating his stepson in connection with the alleged homicide.
The killing occurred on Saturday in the Olivia Espinosa neighborhood after the victim withdrew money he planned to use to purchase a pickup, according to preliminary information from authorities.
The man’s wife reported him missing after her son accompanied him to withdraw the money. Authorities later found the victim’s body concealed inside a cardboard trash bin located in the back of his own home.
