A traffic signal went live Wednesday at Furys Ferry Road and Blackstone Camp Road in Evans, Georgia. It replaced a four-way stop. The new signal should improve access along the roadway and into the subdivision on Colony Drive.
Traffic flow mattered. So did safety. Kelly McDaniel, project engineer, said the signal fixes a safety concern at this spot.
“No longer do they have to start out there in the middle of the traffic,” McDaniel said, per WRDW. “And we’ve had so many accidents at this point, at this stop here. It should provide them a better idea of exactly how good the final product will be for them.”…
