SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Springfield humanitarian nonprofit Convoy of Hope has responded to natural disasters in Colombia and Puerto Rico, according to a news release.
According to the release, the faith-based organization has delivered resources to families in Colombia after a 7.4 magnitude earthquake destroyed buildings and homes in the western part of the country. This recent earthquake comes two weeks after twin earthquakes struck Venezuela, where Convoy of Hope team members continue to provide aid, according to the release.
Ethan Forhetz, the vice president of public engagement for Convoy of Hope, said team members have been delivering the very basics, including food, water and hygiene items.
