AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – The only man still facing trial in the killing of 8-year-old Arbrie Anthony is now before a Richmond County jury, as prosecutors work to tie him to a red Jeep and a violent gang rivalry they say led to the little girl’s death.
Arbrie was shot and killed Jan. 8, 2022, while petting a horse outside Dogwood Terrace, a public housing complex in Augusta. Investigators have said they don’t believe she was the intended target.
According to the District Attorney’s Office, five other defendants in the case have pleaded guilty and two more had their charges dismissed, leaving only Antoine Rodrigues Redfield on trial.
