WAYNESBORO, Va. (WHSV) – A Waynesboro event venue is seeking a conditional use permit after the city told its owner the permit was required, sparking a debate among neighbors over noise, traffic, parking and safety.
Mimosa Farms owner Jill Wallace said she began hosting events at the property in 2023, before the permit requirement was in place. Once she learned a permit was required, she said she applied.
“I didn’t suddenly decide in 2026 that I wanted to become an event venue,” Wallace said. “The regulatory framework changed. The city clarified what was required of me. And once I understood that requirement, I entered this process swiftly to comply with it.”…
