The nearly four decade case of Robert “Bobby” Lewis Wilks, a former Robertson County funeral director sentenced to prison for burial fraud, is getting a fresh perspective with a new book written by an author from Cross Plains.
Titled “Digging Up Bones: When the Truth Is Exhumed” and written by Tanya Covington Radic, the book examines how truth, reputation and institutional silence allowed one of the most disturbing funeral scandals in the state’s history.
