HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) — City officials in Henderson are taking steps to improve road visibility.
This comes after a pedestrian was hit by a car on South Green Street near Clay Street last month. That pedestrian was later identified as 66-year-old Lamont Henderson. Henderson was pronounced dead at the scene.
During a city commission meeting on Tuesday, Brad Picket with Henderson Municipal Power and Lighting gave a presentation to the board, outlining the current lighting situation around the area of the crash. Picket said though there are street lights in the area, the distance between the light on the corner of Clay street and the next street light is 375 feet.
