JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Jackson Mayor John Horhn and leaders from the Greater Jackson Chamber Partnership joined Delta Waste Solutions on August 11, 2026, to celebrate the opening of the company’s new facility in Jackson.
Founded in 2022 by Chris Gomes and Sander Ohnstad, Delta Waste Solutions provides residential, commercial and construction waste collection and disposal services across the Jackson-metro and Pine Belt areas.
Mississippi River Commission to hold public hearings
“It is a great day to be a small but growing business in Jackson,” said Chris Gomes, president and CEO of Delta Waste Solutions. “We are competing with some of the largest players in this industry based on our commitment to our communities, quality service, and affordable pricing. City leaders pointed to the expansion as a positive sign for local economic growth and entrepreneurship.
