This new north Bossier restaurant has slow-smoked barbecue, classic comfort food, Tex-Mex and Cajun favorites.
Back in the Saddle Grill & Bar is a family-owned restaurant and bar that recently opened in the former location of Papa & Co. The owners’ experience in barbecue and hospitality comes from running a food truck for almost two decades on the rodeo circuit.
The restaurant and bar are separate with exterior entrances for each. The restaurant side reminds me of a diner with tables and booths and fluorescent lighting. The bar side wasn’t open yet when I visited, but I did take a quick look to see a nice cozy room with a bar the length of the space.
You can start your day at Back in the Saddle for breakfast, with options like ham steak and eggs, omelets, old-time flap jacks, biscuits and gravy, grits, hash browns, bacon, sausage, and more…
