ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The monsoon/heat high is continuing to pull in more monsoon moisture and temperatures will come down just a bit for most of us in New Mexico.
Stray to isolated coverage of showers impacted parts of western New Mexico early Tuesday morning. Redevelopment along the higher terrain is set to start early in the afternoon. Storms will increase in coverage, with expected coverage to be slightly higher than yesterday, throughout the second half of the afternoon as storms slowly drift into nearby highlands/valleys/low-lying areas. Storms will follow the steering pattern of the high.
Isolated showers and storms are possible for the Albuquerque metro this afternoon and evening. The timeline to see any shower/storm is from 3 p.m. to 2 a.m., with our main window of opportunity between 5-10 p.m. at 30% coverage…
