Five historic Asheville communities will come together for the inaugural Legacy Neighborhoods Coalition Festival on Friday, August 28, and Saturday, August 29. The free celebration will be held at Memorial Stadium, 32 Buchanan Place in Asheville.
Friday’s program is scheduled from 6 to 9:30 p.m., followed by a longer Saturday gathering from noon to 10 p.m. The Asheville Legacy Neighborhoods Coalition is inviting current and former residents, extended families and neighbors from across the city to participate.
The festival will highlight Burton Street, East End/Valley Street, Emma, Shiloh and Southside.
