Escambia County EMS crews receive ’emergency birth training’ for high-risk deliveries

ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. — First responders in Escambia County are now better prepared to help a new mom who can’t make it to the hospital.

EMS crews received “emergency birth training” through a partnership with HCA Florida West Hospital. The goal is to help first responders during real-life situations.

EMTs and paramedics must be ready to respond to anything. Now, they’re getting special training to help new moms…
