VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — A seven-year-old Virginia Beach boy’s heroic actions to save his mother’s life during a medical emergency earlier this summer were honored Tuesday.
Virginia Beach Police Chief Paul Neudigate presented the Citizen Lifesaving Award to Zayden Herndon, who called 911 to get help for his mother, Kailene Curran Herndon, after she suffered a seizure on the morning of July 21.
