HAMPSHIRE, Ill. (WGN) — A man is now charged in the deadly hit-and-run last month in Chicago’s northwest suburbs that claimed the life of a bicyclist.
Marcos Moreno, 61, of Aurora faces the following felony charges:
- Failure to report a crash resulting in death
- Leaving the scene of a crash resulting in death
- Obstructing justice
It was around 12:40 a.m. on July 6, 2026 that police responded to the area of US Route 20, between Big Timber Road and Gast Road, on the report of a crash involving a bicyclist in the roadway.
Police said the bicyclist, later identified as 27-year-old Ebony Calvillo, of Hampshire, died at the scene. The Kane County Coroner’s Office found her injuries consistent with those of someone who had been struck by a vehicle…
