More than 20 North Texas school districts return to class Wednesday

At least 20 additional North Texas school districts open classrooms Wednesday morning for the start of the 2026-27 academic year, including Frisco, Coppell, Richardson, Forney, Grapevine-Colleyville, Hurst-Euless-Bedford, Keller and Lewisville.

The wave follows earlier returns in districts such as Fort Worth and Dallas. Students and staff in the listed districts and others across Collin, Dallas, Denton and Tarrant counties are reporting for the first full day of instruction.
