Officials investigating a very large fire in Wakefield, Massachusetts, last week are asking for help understanding how it started.
Anyone with photos, video or other information about the early stages of the fire that gutted a vacant warehouse on Foundry Street Friday afternoon was urged to share it with Wakefield firefighters by calling 978-382-5552 or the Massachusetts State Police Fire & Explosion Investigation Unit at 978-567-3310.
“We are not investigating this as a suspicious fire at this time,” said State Fire Marshal Jon Davine said in a statement. “Our main interest right now is identifying the area of origin, which will help determine the exact cause.”…
