Prosecutors say Murdaugh can still get a fair jury, oppose move to Charleston County

CHARLESTON COUNTY, S.C. (WCIV) — South Carolina prosecutors are opposing Alex Murdaugh’s request to move his case to Charleston County, according to a legal filing submitted Wednesday.

Prosecutors argue that the extensive publicity surrounding him does not establish that an impartial jury cannot be selected and that Charleston would create significant logistical and financial problems.
