Heights of Brazil is preparing to open at 8031 Greenback Lane in Citrus Heights, taking over the space long occupied by Wasabi House, which closed in 2024. Owner Ronan de Farias is behind the new restaurant, which will fill a roughly 2,400-square-foot standalone building inside the Greenback Square shopping center, according to leasing materials from Sacramento-based commercial real estate firm JLL.
The space has already gotten a fresh repaint and new green signage, with colorful panels installed around the building illustrating popular Brazilian dishes customers can expect once it opens. A posted schedule shows the restaurant closed on Tuesdays, with hours running 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 4:30 to 9 p.m. the rest of the week, though no firm opening date has been confirmed.
Brazilian cuisine typically leans on hearty stews, fire-roasted meats, seafood, and sweet desserts, reflecting the country’s mix of Indigenous, African, European, and Asian culinary influences.
