News 8 Exclusive: Bank sues owners of closed Wyndham hotel in Rochester

Rochester, N.Y. (WROC) — News 8 has learned that Cogent Bank, which loaned millions of dollars to the owners of the Wyndham hotel in Downtown Rochester, is asking the court to foreclose on the property, saying the owners owe them around $6.4 million and have failed to make their payments.

Cogent is targeting Horizon Edge Hospitality, which, according to court paperwork and a New York State database, is based in Georgia and linked to Dr. Ashish Kakadia, a dentist.
