EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) — When a U.S. Navy sailor from El Paso left the Borderland to serve, she found more than a career. The opportunity to serve overseas led to the discovery of a second family in Yokosuka, Japan.
Logistics Specialist 3rd Class Noelia Granados hoped the Navy would bring challenges and self-discovery. The El Dorado High School graduate decided to divert from the traditional path to college.
