CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) – Thousands of students across the Charlottesville area headed back to class this week, but for the city’s fifth graders, the first day came with an especially big change.
For the first time in about 38 years, fifth graders are back at their zoned elementary schools instead of attending Walker Upper Elementary.
At Trailblazer Elementary School, that means fifth graders are now the oldest students in the building…
