MAYFLOWER, Ark. – August 12th should be a day of celebration for the Credit family. Beloved son, father, and brother Terry Credit would have turned 60 years old. But on August 17th, 2016, Credit was murdered in what has been investigated as a cold case.
Every year on August 12th, the Credit family gathers to sing happy birthday to Terry and release balloons. As the years have gone by, Terry’s sister Victoria Credit-Rome says the day has become more painful.
“I think every year gets harder and harder. Knowing that he was murdered and we still don’t have justice for his life, the birthdays get harder and harder as we do them, but we continue to do it. That’s what we have to do to keep his memories alive,” said Victoria.
