CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – Renovations to Charlottesville High School, Greenbrier Elementary, and Jackson-Via Elementary would be the primary use of funds generated by a proposed 1% sales tax, if voters approve the measure in November, city officials said during Wednesday’s joint session between the Charlottesville City Council and School Board.
Making that vision for the funds clear to the public, Mayor Juandiego Wade said, will be crucial to convincing voters to back the referendum.
