Michigan will roll out its new “one buck rule” alongside a pilot program to earn a second buck in 2027.
The pilot was approved Wednesday by the Michigan Natural Resources Commission. An amendment to the program will limit the second buck harvest to the pilot areas: Hillsdale, Kalamazoo, Barry, Ingham and Lapeer counties.
