Authorities arrested a 21-year-old Ocala woman over the weekend after she allegedly fled from a traffic stop and led deputies on a high-speed chase because she wanted to “have some fun.”
Shortly after 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 8, a Marion County Sheriff’s Office deputy was on patrol when a Hyundai Genesis was spotted traveling near the 8100 block of Highway 27 without its headlights or taillights activated after sunset, according to the arrest report.
The Hyundai briefly stopped at an intersection before reportedly accelerating to approximately 85 miles per hour in a 55-mph zone. The deputy attempted to initiate a traffic stop, and the Hyundai allegedly pulled over near the intersection of NW 49th Avenue and NW Blitchton Road…
